Week of April 2

This week was pretty sweet. Monday we played soccer as a zone and had tons of fun. then i went shopping and all that jazz. Tuesday, we had a good district meeting that was focused on the importance of the Book of Mormon in missionary work, and more especifically our teaching. Then later, i succesfully made CHILI!!!!!!! im super excited and am going to make it every week, just one big batch and just go to town. Then we went out and worked as usual. Wednesday was supremely awesome. We had interviews with President, and mine went really really well. I enjoyed it quite a bit. I also asked him if i could shave my head all the way. He said he would think about it. I dont think he would like it. THen after the interviews, we went with president back to the office so that my comp could get some stuff that he left there when he first came. Then we went with our zone leaders and the rest of our district to Pizza Hut. Yeah, i said Pizza Hut. There are a couple in Asunción and we went. It was way good. and made me a little trunky(homesick). Then we went to the Distribution center and i bought some supplies that i needed. THen we went to the Temple. Yeah thats right, the temple. I freaking love the temple. I went and did like 20 initiatories, then finished it off with a session. It was way good to be able to go back there. Then after we went with the entire zone to a local Arabian place to eat. We didnt get back home till 11 but it was a way good day. The rest of the week went retty normal. Saturday we opened up a different part of our area that the missionaries before never really worked, and the initial results were pretty good. We found 3 families that show some potential. We will see where that goes. Then sunday was pretty good. we talked with the bishop and were able to gain some of his trust, so thats good. Then today, we went with our zone to a turf field and played for 3 hours. It was really fun again. And now im writing you guys, so yeah. Things are going pretty well. MY comp is doing good, but he talks alot.a lot. but yeah, no complaints. any questions just ask and i will try to get to them.

Week of March 19

Soooooooo, this week was a bit crazy for me. On monday night we get the call from the zone leaders about changes. My comp Elder Seaton got transfered to Ca´acupe which is a really crappy area from what i hear, but hopefully he will be okay. But, when they told me i was getting a new comp, then didnt know his name, cause i am...........Training! At first i didnt really know what to think, but then i got pretty excited. So we went in for the transfers at the mission office and i was in meetings and trainings all morning, then i got my new baby boy. His name is Elder Muñoz and he is from Ecuador. He is a funny kid. And he basically came pretrained. He already knows how to teach the doctrine, so my job is easy. He is also very open and friendly with the people, which also makes my job easy.

Things are going really good here. the wheather is calming and cooling down a bit, and we are working as hard as ever. We are working more with the members and finding a good chunk of new investigators and the such. Other than that i dont have much t say. Everything is good. anyquestions just ask.

Week of March 5, 2012

Yeah i forgot to tell you that i got the one package with the salsa, and the shirts. The other package is sitting in my district leaders house as he still has not gotten it to me. I didnt try the shirts though, as i will probably wear them in like a year when all my shirts are gross looking. I did give one away though to an elder that only had 4 shirts, and it fit him.

Sounds like you cruise was fun. You should take me on a cruise when i come back...

Costa Maya sounds a lot like some of the living situations here, people living in houses made of stick, cardboard, and garbage bags. It is pretty depressing. anyway, sounds like you had a blast though. I really miss going swimming. Especially when its freaking a miilion degrees here. Its starting to cool off, but slowly

Things here have been pretty uninteresting. The ward kinda keeps unwinding, and me and my comp are doing our best to slow down that process. There is a baptism this week of a little girl in our ward and the family asked us to plan everything... its whatever, Me and my comp are going to make brownies, so that will be fun.

Have fun, stay safe y cuídense

Tony's email to me (Amanda)

Yes, In n Out sucks compared to Five Guys. Every thing is good on my end, not much is going on, just heat and we keep working. Dont mess up the Blog, either.

Week of February 20

WHat uP?  So things are going good  This week was pretty chill.  We had a zone conference in Asunción and it was very good.  We talked a lot about charity.  Tell Aunt Aimee that i finally found Elder Hill,  we talked for a bit it was good.  After zone conference, everybody in my zone got food poisoning, and the next day basically nobody worked.  It was pretty funny.  Yesterday,  we had an awesome day as far a work goes.  We found some solid new investigators, and we taught a ton of lessons.  Then to end it of the Former Elder Lane  came back to Paraguay and he was visiting old comps and converts and stuff, so he dropped by and we talked, and took a pic and stuff.  it was sweet.  That's basically how my week went.

I need you guys to send me some more gorilla tape,  the half width, and maybe the full width too.

Have fun on your vacations and stuff.  ciaocito

week of 13 of feb

So this week was pretty decent,  and we had another baptism.  It was very hot this week,  and other than those two things not much happened,  voy a pegar algo de mi carta a mi presidente,  y esta en español
