week of Nov 13 or something like that.

So this past week was pretty awesome if i do say so myself.  Monday was pday, and we made tacos for lunch and salsa and stuff and it was deleicious.  Then we worked and stuff and not much more happened until we got on a bus to head in to Asunción.  The bus ride was kinda crappy but whatever.  When we got to the terminal, we took a taxi to the temple.  It was like 5 in the morning so we had to wait around until the temple opened around 6.  The temple was super awesome.  It was way good to go back after not having been since august.  Now i have to wait till like april to go again :(.   Anyway, after that we went to the mission office and had zone conference, which was way sweet and i feel like i learned a ton, and i was able to be part of a demonstration.  Then after that, i had a small interview with the Pres, cause i had some questions that i wanted to ask him, and basically he didnt answer them but instead talked about other things and basically said that he sees a LOT of potential in me and that he sees me in positions of leadership relatively early in my mission, but he prefaced that with the need of being ready at all times even if im not called upon to serve.  So we will see what happens.  Then after that Elder Cab and I went roaming around Asunción and went to a mall and out to eat and stuff cause we had 5 hours to kill before the bus left back to Horqueta.  The bus was better this time and we took a pic, that i am going to attach to this email.  Then on thursday we had a division with the zoneleaders that went really well, and the the week continued normally.  Want to know the best part?  We are going to have two baptisms this week!  The first on thursday, is Manuel Garay who is the cousin of Wilson who is on his mini mission(he just got his mission call to Tiajuana Mexico!) Manuel is turning 9 on thursday and thats why he wants to be baptized on thursday.  So that will be sweet.  And the next is Liz Bareiro, who is 22 or something like that, and she is going to be baptized on saturday.  She is way smart and understands a ton of stuff so she will be a good addition to the branch.  Basically that is it for this week. Oh, and i got a haircut too.

Until next time

week of nov 6

whoowie, this week was a little crazy but i dont have much time to write about it so we will see.
I have a new companion who is named elder Cab.  He is from mexico, and more specifically Merida, so i told him the Nefi was a temple president there so that was cool.  Now i get to learn mexican spanish instead of Paraguayan spanish so thats cool too.  But he only speaks spanish so now i need to teach him english too.  Did you know that its a rule for foreign elders who dont speak english to learn it.

Me and elder lane took a 8 hour bus ride friday night at 10 into asunción that was pretty crappy cause the bus driver his every single bump in the road.  and there are a lot of bumps here.  Then i went to immigrations to sign into the country, and while i was doing that. elder lane left with his new companion to his new area, with the cell phone and the keys to our house.  It was a mess but we got it taken care of.  So now im back and kicking it with elder Cab.

As far as sending the stuff and how you do it is up to you i dont really know what will get through and what wont so you guys can decide.

I was going to send some pics but the computers here are sucking it up  so i will send them later.

thanks for you support, ciao

Another week in paraguay

So this week has been pretty crazy, i will let you guys read whats up in the picture i will send in a bit.  Not too much is going on on my end over here now as things kinda calmed down..  The interviews with the mission president went good, which you will read a bit about in the picture.
I got the shampoo package this week, and we already ate the trail mix.  That did not last long.  And you did get me my razors, thank you.

I had to withdraw some money from my account this week so please monitor how that is doing, and please let me know that you verified it,  it should be for about 60ish dollars or something around there.

There is a gas station here that opened up just a little while ago that has a "fast food" place that is nicer than like all the restaurants here.  its kindof funny to see because many of the gas stations in the states are kinda dumpy, and the the gas stations here are nicer than all the other places.

This is the last week of the transfer, and as such, it will mark the end of my training.  As you will read in my letter, i was senior comp for three days this week, and i feel that if i am called upon to be a senior comp, i could do it.  It would be hard, but hard things make us stronger.
Im going to miss Elder Lane.  We got along really well and had a ton of funny moments.  Maybe we will get to be together for another change, who knows. i will let you guys know what goes down next pday.

Other than that, there is not much that is going on.  I wish you guys luck in whatever you guys are doing. Are there time changes this week for you guys?  if there is then i will be four hours ahead of you guys.  We were only two hours. then during conference we had time changes here in Paraguay, then now you will move back another hour.

Alright thats it for now. ciao
